Part of the Integrated series, the sculpture’s materials symbolize an alliance between technology, nature and human nature. Collectively they are strengthened, however still perfectly imperfect. The use of mirror acrylic creates distortions and imperfect qualities. As the viewer moves around the sculpture the evasive and ever-moving bucket inside the opening is a reminder that it is essential to be filled with more than just medical technology to restore health and wellbeing. The photograph that is reflected within the sculpture is of the ocean representing the restorative qualities of nature. There is an undeniable power created in the handshake between nature, the nature of the mind and technology.
